From the plaza down to the place certainly is a long walk. Following the trek is also a maze with an intricate track you could hardly remember. Early in the morning, the hills are literally hiding. It's always a cold and foggy morning. While you wanted to be in, but only a good feet harmonizing with the track is advisable to land here or else you will surely not appreciate it. The panoramic view while moving on and as the clouds rising is just splendid. And if you're afraid of heights (Acrophobia), then don't ever look down. By the way, if you're lucky enough you will have a closer look at the wild horses straying and playing.

<category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Mt. The Underground River - according to the guide, this could be another route to Sumaguing Cave only it is much harder. Anyway, there's nothing more to say on this site other than "a river under a cave"...lol

3. The Hanging Coffins - their tradition despite rapid civilization is still intact as clearly seen in this burial site. And if you believe in paranormal activity, then you might wanna try ghost hunting. Two of my colleagues felt some vibes and said they're also mingling with us. Wow. We simply offered them our prayers.

4. The Cemetery - another interesting burial site to those with catholic faith. Instead of an ordinary cross, some sculpted other shapes like a heart, a flower, etc. to signify their interests while still living.

<category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Mt. This cave is way better than the ones I've visited so far. It was 2007 of November when I was first captivated by this grandeur walls and ceiling. Since then, when I set foot in Sagada, I never failed to miss this spot as if always a new experience to me. From side to side to up and down then to every word a tourist guide would often say, I memorized them all.Well I could be one of them too! Jokingly I always say, could somebody please grant me an "honorary residency" here? lol Oh shoot! This is actually one of my homes.

The mineral formation in this cave is beyond majestic, you'll be in awe seeing it. Both the stalactites and stalagmites are prominently formed. The dripping of water continuously touches the ground while the bats on the ceiling keeps on chirping and screeching. Conceivably with the cold weather in Sagada, the underground water and the temperature inside could go as low as 10 degrees Celsius. The first level which is the entrance of the cave is quite dangerous with its rocky and slippery ground. But as you go, everything is okay and under control even to those not so sporty. Of course, some spots are difficult but still manageable. There will be rappelling and dipping in a shallow 5-foot deep water. Just follow your guide for some delicate spots.

Here are some pictures I've had so far and still accumulating...lol

a. Ankileng, Sagada Mt. Province. Over these years, the club witnessed a total make-over to the lives of inhabitants - be it in the social or economic aspect.

Sagada is 145 kilometers away from Baguio City and takes about six to seven hours from the main gateway to the rugged Halsema Highway, the region’s main access road and the highest point in the country’s highway system. During rainy season, it takes longer than usual travel when the roads are blocked by slices of boulder and eroded earth particles. Despite the highly commendable tourist spots in Sagada, poorly maintained roads have always characterized accessibility to the place. Nowadays, since the advent of modern telecommunication facilities and rapid growth of tourism industry, Sagada embraced the civilization and started to change dramatically.

In any case of cited development, there exists either positive or negative result in terms of physical environment, socio-cultural, and economic aspect. For instance, the increased congestion can increase revenue collection but to an area of limited size the struggle for survival of increasing population might occur and a settlement once pristine and fresh becomes degraded due to improper waste segregation and lack of zoning strategies. Likewise, as tourists of diverse cultural orientation continue to grow, the interaction between differing cultures can somehow affect the behavioral traits of the indigents.

With these possible impacts that are now highly observable to Sagada, the club felt the need for an initiative to partake and commit our social responsibility for the people of Brgy. Ankileng, Sagada. That's why, despite busy schedules, we always reserve a 3-day outreach program to them twice a year - for Balik-Eskwela and Pre-Christmas Gift-Giving.

Smiles and the majestic view of Sagada simply motivate us to go back and forth. You just can't help but mesmerize. Beautiful indeed! In the next articles I will be featuring some of the sceneries I've personally seen.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://alecksanderdgreat.blogspot.com/2011/08/project-101-ankileng-sagada-mt-province.html' title='PROJECT 101: Ankileng, Sagada Mt. Our town, IROSIN, is such a beautiful place to go nature trek. Surrounded by mountains and greens, rivers and wild, people and smiles. A beauty you'll surely miss while living in the Metro.

Before Marikina was quoted with the best clean and green initiatives, it was Irosin who bagged the title for many years. If I remember it right, the implementation of "Tapat Mo, Linis Mo" program was a success. This is where community actions to increase the level of awareness among residents and the practice of volunteerism and bayanihan are being done. We had to plant trees at the whole stretch of the sidewalk, make a product out of recyclable materials e.g. floorwax-making, handicrafts, etc., and practice natural/organic farming.

Well, it's not that boring after all. It's fun doing that with your friends and neighbors.

The places I wanted to revisit once I got the chance are the following tourist spots:

a. Located in Laurel, Batangas near Tagaytay City with an ambiance so rejuvenating and its elevation quite perfect for you to see the panoramic views of mountains, the Taal Volcano, the Lake, and valleys. The natural ecosystem was somewhat preserved with a dense canopy of pine trees and foliage, they also cultivated some ornaments to improve the landscape, and even preserved the look of lagoon where you could practice your kayaking or boating skills.

I stayed there for three days and enjoyed it. The weather was splendid that day. You could feel the cold morning breeze which is Baguio-like. The facilities were simply great and only offer first-class service. The architectural design of houses where we stayed really enhance country living as if you're in a foreign land. While the fully-landscaped nature trail would make you fall in love. Also, if you're into sports they have facilities such as badminton, basketball, tennis, volleyball and squash courts, mini golf course, swimming pool, and Bowling and Billiards Hall. Awesome experience indeed!

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-K3RCXVBO6Jo/TfBX0Ra6KPI/AAAAAAAAAM0/nOq7jBUckhk/s1600/DSC_0398.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; I just don’t like it simply because I’m such a brat maybe (lol). Imagining a lot of people sharing a very limited space, can’t stretch your arms nor flap your feet, and even freeing your mind with too much pressure at work is never possible.

Other than that, imagine how many trees were cut and how many species of wildlife been deprived of their natural habitat? Sad to hear, right? Our mother nature laid everything we need to survive – food, shelter, etc. But some people keep wanting more and more every day. They have food enough to share with the family and yet they wanted more to an extent of greediness. They built houses but they want it bigger and unique compared to their neighbors’. All these wants were never enough to them, they’re into competing each other. Competing for fame and fortune, competing for MONEY!

Not so long ago, in my college years, I had the chance trekking the mountains of Rizal. I admired the rich culture and tradition of indigent residents. But most of all, I admired the beauty of nature. The façade of the mountains were beyond majestic as well as the spectacular Daranak Falls in Tanay just to mention. I thought it would be a dejavu going back there and a good spot to end summer vacation this year so I opted to pack all things including my excitement. But heck it is! I got disappointed big time. I saw houses, business establishments, and resorts here and there.

What happened to environmental and wildlife protection initiatives of our government? How many more mountains are they going to destroy to make way for these developments? All these government officials do is talk while showing a fake concern on the effect of global warming, environmental degradation, blah blah blah. Where in fact, some of them own not just one, two, or even more of these. Walk your talk!

So in totality, did I enjoy the trip? Well, the thought of spending your time with your officemates, I believe I enjoyed it. But with respect to nature, I absolutely did not.

Nature Trek Ticket No. 4

Shoreline and River Experience in Real, Quezon

It was literally pain in the butt just to get there. We rented a tricycle to Real, Quezon from the town of Infanta. Tough ride indeed going to that remotest part of the town. Unpaved and rocky road for cry out loud would make you want to get off the trike and just walk. It was a roller coaster ride and as if the place was deprived of civilization and government infrastructure development.

Despite the sad reality within that area, I would say, the place is better off that way. Civilization and rapid modernization will simply do both good and bad to the ecosystem of that area. While touring the lane before our actual destination, you could see the vibrant colors of plants and trees, feel the fresh Pacific air, and experience the simple type of living of residents equally sharing the abundance and gift of nature. Amazing.

We were the very first that day to reach and experience the river. But prior to that, we were informed by volunteer residents to be extra careful swimming since three lives were lost due to drowning a day before our arrival. The river in some parts so serene, which means according to them is deep and dangerous for non-swimmers. Thus, we didn't take our chance to go deeper and swim farther. We enjoyed it anyway, just by floating and swimming within our reach.

Hour by hour, the number of tourists is increasing. Some of them, like us, were from the metro, also enjoying summer vacation. But oh my, all their trashes being scattered everywhere. And of course to let them know and realize what their wrongdoing, I started handpicking their mess. I guess I was able to move them and strike their conscience, for they started picking their mess. At least my reverse psychology worked and I hope they do that once the're back in the metro too.

Nature Trek Ticket No. 3

In Kawayan Falls...

A lot of people visited Kawayan Falls the day we went there. You could see all tourists and indigent residents busy preparing their packs. While still outside, you could feel the sun burning your skin. But as you go your way in to the forest, you could feel its relaxing shade and pampering air.

There are at least three (3) miniature and two (2) big falls you can find in there. It's as if the falls is getting bigger and wider as you go farther. The first three, maybe you'll say it aint really something special to write about but when you go to the last stop and before saying you survive the heights and rocks, there's only one thing you could say - AWESOME! My jaw dropped literally with the enchanting scenery I've seen during that day. I even scolded my friend for not bringing me there previously. It's just like you're swimming in a large basin so deep and with cold water freeflowing on your head.

Although I'm a good swimmer, still I have that fear of going to the heart of it. It was a bad weather for swimming actually; drizzling but humid. Since I brought my camera with me, so what's the use? An official photographer without a doubt. Well that's alright, at least my buddy and I exchanged thoughts on proper lighting and angle of our subjects.

We tried to look for a good one. The first time I went there, I didn't really appreciate it. The weather was bad plus no gadgets back then to capture every single moment. We were restricted to go to some places so ended up in a drinking marathon. But this time around, we toured the whole town of Infanta and Real. Gone to some places I never imagined there were such. The four-day tour seemed full-packed with a very hectic itinerary - literally from dusk 'til dawn. It was a non-stop clicking and posing to capture the right angle and aperture. All in all, we all enjoyed and more than satisfied.

First Day

It’s a Maundy Thursday to those with Catholic faith. We arrived early in the morning in Infanta, Quezon. It’s quite a long drive from Manila so we all had a short nap. And oh, of course, I would love to share with you what “Nanay” (my friend’s mom) cooked for us for lunch. She cooked “Sinantol” (Grated pulp cooked in coconut milk with bits of crabs and hot pepper) – I personally requested her that menu J since it’s one of my fave local recipes.

In the afternoon, we decided to go to a beach. But before going there, we first dropped by at a certain pilgrimage site. I was amazed how each structure and statues were built for the sole purpose of spreading the facts behind the journey of Jesus. With vibrant colors of plants and the overall design, I was impressed!

We went to the beach and as expected a lot of people enjoying the sea breeze. New faces I've met but it's ok because I was with two of my college friends. Actually, just to break the silence and awkward moments, I did the talking a lot until we got along well throwing non-sense jokes. We decided to depart in Manila at around midnight and it took us five hours to reach Zambales. Since it's still early in the morning, we opted to stay a bit at the town proper to buy some groceries and catch some sleep despite aching legs and extremities due to limited movement inside the van. Then, another 45-minute drive to Pundaquit, where you could bargain with boatmen the customization of your trip. Since we're seven, we decided to rent a bigger boat at P300.00 per person packaged with island hopping in three islands - Camara, Capones, and the last stop for an overnight stay in Anawangin. For me, it's a real deal and cheaper compared to other beaches so far. The weather was good and the clear blue sea so serene. Perfect summer escapade, indeed!

Camara and Capones Island Sidetrip

The natural scenery of both islands still intact despite the increasing number of tourists. But of course for your convenience it's advisable to bring a tent. I could say, I was the Mr. Congeniality back then. I easily got along with the group, the boatmen, and some residents who used to be our "tiga-igib" (drawer to fetch water) because there's a group so annoying from a reputable school (?) who felt like they've bought the place already. Not only brats but also a disgrace to their school with their unpleasant words and unbecoming behavior. Their mess was almost everywhere. But that, did not ruin my vacation nor allow it to happen. I really did not intend to swim. I just wanted to take pictures and continue to amaze my sight with the enchanting scenery that time. But before the sun set, I started to show off my swimming skills..haha.

The next morning, we went trekking to the hill top without any tour guide. Anyway, it's not that difficult to climb after all. Just stay alert and have an extra care because there are snakes also lurking around. From the top, you could see the panoramic view of the island best viewed while the sun shines. Next activity we did - eating time and swimming again:)

Banahaw escapade was my first time to use my camera for purposes of appreciation of nature's gift. I’ve been to many places in such a short span of time. This cruel schedule of mine really annoys me sometimes especially when longing for a good vacation or even year-ender. Two or three days for me while waiting for an announcement from the Palace of certain holiday would really mean much. Sadly, this year, seemed not good for holidaying so a bit frustrated and restrained to that. Despite that limitations, I still managed to have some escapades. That I love to share with you.

Banahaw Tour

We, in the office, hardly make a group getaway because of some conflicting issues and busy schedule. But because it's our boss who suggested the tour, finally we went on. I admit am not really that religious for a pilgrimage-like walk but instead of sulking that day while everyone's panicking on a possible tsunami in Quezon, admittedly I also enjoyed. Who the heck would not? Getting closer to nature with perfect and sublimed atmosphere, certainly, that's a treat!

Talk and walk. Thinking if I would still be keeping this active or simply go with the trend in Facebook. For the past months, I've kept every bone in my body busy with so much paperworks both for work and studies (hmmmm well of course no need to mention those gimmicks and social works I've been into...lol). I was indeed happy, for no reason at all, that no bad luck bumped in on my way. Oh come on, sure enough I had no freak accidents and zero properties lost (period covered is from a bit in 2008 up to 2009...lol). Sure, I had lucky ones gone aboard this time, good year for me (keeping my fingers crossed up to this time)! I always keep myself unpredictable that's why! I hate people who shatter my day into lump of lousiness and negativity. But even with those people around who I guessed only did exist to ruin your precious day, I still stand and fix it up instead. Being optimistic at all times is my key to survive this life's puzzle.

At this rate, I hope the flow of chakra (creativity and wittiness...term borrowed from Naruto...hehe) inside me will allow me to forge something unbelievably insane and new (looking forward to that)!

Hello again everyone! Generally, the movie is about the journey of discovery and personal tragedy.

John Nash believed that he can decode everything in mathematical way until such time he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. So much involved in the codes that his life itself becomes a big puzzle. Indeed, his greatest strength which is his own mind also becomes his greatest enemy. And as an exceptionally gifted yet schizophrenic mathematician, he struggled his way in order to overcome his own dark side. Along with his wife, he learned how to handle his delusion of being an agent and having imaginary friends. Although quite chaotic from the start, John coped with his illness by accepting the reality and proceeds with his life.

Despite his eccentricities, he developed truly original mathematical theories to support and prove his worth. His work was later on recognized and made an impression to his colleagues that eventually gave him a slot as the world’s renowned mathematician by winning the Nobel Prize.

The movie caught my interest through its foresight to develop a creative approach to a rather dull subject to most people: mathematics. I’ve personally heard to some of my friends that mathematics if not boring, is difficult to understand. But even so, they are also eager to know the significant applications of mathematics in our daily lives. In this movie, Nash conviction to mathematics and in proving his real worth is really strong. He tried to connect everything in his theory.

Another important matter which is given emphasis in the movie is the gripping insight of schizophrenia that made it possible for the audience to experience an aspect of such disease.

Also, I was amazed because he really proved that mathematics is everywhere. Theories and important formulas can be derived in the most unexpected real life situation. While another good point to assimilate in this movie is his courage to face the reality and go on with his life. Struggling against delusion or any illness is way too difficult for anyone to overcome and focus on certain thing. Strangely but really this film is centered on math. Why didn’t it put me to sleep? Because, some of the most enjoyable and singular moments of the film are spent watching Nash solve problems and look for patterns in order to decode certain mystery! The Director’s style is thrilling and entertaining as well. Love story, or math problem, A Beautiful Mind is without a doubt one of the finest, most genuine films.

On the other hand, aside from wanting the audience experience the life of a schizophrenic person, the director should have also emphasized more on the main character’s strategies inside the classroom or as a university professor that other people would want to correlate with.

Stitching teaching...

Every individual aims for a better!
Hence, once opportunity knocks, one will definitely grab the chance with eagerness and full conviction upon acceptance.

Career Advancement

Even though quite tedious specially when doing another scope of work still it won’t affect one’s enthusiasm to pursue graduate studies. For it is not merely the title nor the job placement you are aiming for – it’s for the never-ending learning of new experiences, facts, approaches and strategies, and professionalizing oneself.

New challenges can somehow boost someone’s personality on how to deal with it and therefore upon the discretion of the handler how to take it whether constructively or negatively. There are a lot of experiences that may happen, and with that, you will be forced to manage the problem systematically with coherence and accuracy. You will then be tested how you organize things or prioritize base on its exigency.

Arising issues due to changing environment enhances the capacity of a person’s cognitive skill. After all, technical know-how is an important factor to be known as a man of substance. Without it, you will be left alone from the past and eventually lead to plateau of progression where abrupt interruptions may take place. Furthermore, these basic facts and latest concepts contribute in the formulation of approaches and strategies which is essential to one’s creativity. As a result, it can be an effective tool to improve skills – communication and social relation.

And when all these privileges in learning are achieved, professionalism will mostly be enhanced.

Personal Satisfaction

Extracting from the grass root level, teaching has done the very important role in societal change. Therefore, it is a privilege to take part from it despite less compensation allotted for this profession.

Not all can teach. One can never teach without proper knowledge and understanding of the subject matter. Otherwise, one will end up reading between the lines that can eventually cut the learning process among the audience.

Learning the past …the present…and the future!

Go Gaga!

What I like most being a Filipino is how we actually see things positively. Even though there are tough times we are encountering due to political instability, still we stand and let go of negative aura. Simple things really tickle our simple lives.

Few things I remember the most and makes me smile:
- the jeep stopped at Tawiran, Poblacion. A woman called “barker” was revealed to be deaf-mute and all she did was to hand gesture. Amazing!
- Inside the jeep, two women kept on talking and bragging of their hi-tech gadgets as if they were the only one with all those gadgets. Maybe they thought they were the only passengers there, taking pictures of their digital cam with matching pose and with the annoying cam flash, chatting aloud as if no one hears them with their OMG (as in Oh my God) English construction. I’ve seen the faces of our co-passengers and they’re also irritated of the two ignorant and cock-a-hoop people. Good thing, I woke up with a good mood that day (lol).
- A woman who sat beside me was sleeping like a log, with her head on my shoulder, and salivating (eeewww hehehe). So every time the jeep stops I intentionally go with the possible inertia as I could.
- Instead of saying “Manong, Para!”, a lady who’s excited meeting her friend in the jeep said to the driver “Manong, Bye na po!”.
- A woman in a skimpy uniform skirt driving a motorbike. (hehehe just picture it out what would it like) I could actually tell her favorite color (lol).
- In a 22-storey building, the elevator opened at 22nd Floor, the man asked the operator if it’s still going UP! Oh man, so where are we heading? To the sky?
- In a serious conversation, one of my colleagues broke bad wind (farted). We went crazy and laughed loud. The phlegm of my other pal ballooned on his nose as he laughed (yaaiiiikkkksss lol). So the crowd really went gaga!

Movie Connection...

Today I was writing just because a movie motivated me to do so. I was a bit emotionally carried away. I thought it was great and heartwarming especially when you’re thinking of a relationship perfectly made by heaven.

The movie was artistically done. Although the theme of the story seemed to be very common – a love-conquers-all drama – and really not my type, but as it runs I can feel the excitement also runs through me as if I really am connected and so eager to know what will happen next. Every second gives me a thrilling factor you would never miss even a single sec.

The Notebook – the movie worth watching even again and again.

The story was all about a man who never stopped loving his wife even at their old age. His wife suffered from an organic brain dysfunction common to aging people called dementia. The man has proven his great love by patiently telling their story inch by inch so that she can recall what they have fought in the past. Until finally, the woman regained her fondest memory to the very end of their lives, holding each others hands as they promised to see each other again.

I don’t know why, but certainly I admit I was moved by this movie. How I wish I could hike seas and mountains to tell also my baby that I want to grow old with her and when she happens to forget about me, I’ll be more than willing and patiently tell her our story every now and then just to make her realize she’s indeed at home with me. Other than being sentimental, the story also caught my attention because it was quite similar to the story I have written in “Bahandi” – one of our school’s publications.

The Puzzle

I am fond of solving puzzles since I was a kid. I enjoy finding solutions to any problem specifically math problems. There were times I need to debate my colleagues or even teachers for a topic I certainly disagree. However, life has some mysteries of giving puzzles. There are possible dilemmas that you may encounter. It’s up to you to choose where you will follow.

It was my Lola who really influenced me a lot when it comes to my numeric abilities. She only reached 2nd Grade but she really has an IQ of Einstein. She’s good in numbers and fluent speaker of Latin and English. Maybe because of practical application during her time that she has that kind of intelligence I truly admired. We stayed here in Sto.Domingo, Manila when I was a baby but we often visit Irosin every fiesta and Christmas season. I remember playing with her at our Bahay-Kubo and she’s fond of telling me bedtime stories. She was an example of a superb teacher. She taught me how to count, learn alphabet and speak English language. That time also, my playmates and neighbors call me “Galog” because I don’t know how to speak the local dialect.

My Lola died in 1986; I was three then but an early age I already had this fascination of numbers more than reading books. That is I think the best gift she gave me. So at the age of 4 ½ my mom sent me to school as Grade 1 “visitor” (my teacher was a relative, lol). I passed and got my very first award “Best in Math” and the prestigious “Most Behaved” (lol). I was flattered because I knew that my Lola would be so proud of me too. The first ever competition I joined as I remember was the “Spelling Bee” held at the Gallanosa National High School. I tied with the Irosin Central student Michael Villalobos in the first place as I recall.

Honestly, without bragging, I already collected different kinds of medal from various competitions I participated in – from Inter-school, Division, Regional and National – during my elementary and secondary years. My school life during that time was predictable (school:study, home:study). Only in college that I realized my life was boring. As if I was living in a compartment where no one seemed to listen and share with me. I was so jealous and developed slight inferiority to my classmates. Feeling like I was reborn, I did everything on my own without no one manning me what to do.

The university life really changed the whole me since I decided to walk out of the box. My idealism has been divulged that somehow brought me into another chapter (No need to elaborate…hehehe). Admittedly, I have wronged in some of my decisions but I stood still to patch things up. All of my loved ones were so disappointed for what I have done. Truly, that year was a try but it ended unwell. Just before I loss control, another savior brought me out of it, my aunt.

Finally, that life puzzle ended with so many lessons to keep. I tried solving the puzzle my own possible way but I missed, but when I tried the right way of doing it, I recovered.

The Beginning and the End

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5215682291640317122" style="FLOAT: right; I can actually fly across the universe even without wings or fuel engines. I have seen many people looked at me and sang praises. Everyone wanted to fly with me and lean on my shoulders to feel the breeze of a whirling wind. Single-handedly I can but only one at a time.

I swam with many fishes and extraordinary creatures in the ocean. We tossed up and down, rolled and spin. The spectacular sceneries really amazed my sight while Poseidon, the God of Sea, pointed - out places in his kingdom. Then I was invited to join the feast while mermaids serenading our ears.

I had to finish that special occasion for an important evening with Aphrodite, the God of Gardens and Vineyards. Ever beautiful and gorgeous with her long and glossy hair, sculpted with gracious body on her white gown. Accompanied by goblins as she walked down the aisle, she smiled while carefully stepped near me. My face turned red while she’s getting closer and closer. Indeed, I found myself stuck and jaw-dropped. We danced while the night was young under the moonlit and the dancing fireflies. I have seen the fairies and the witches crossed boundaries. No quarrels. No burden.

Feelings sometimes can be immortalized and done in somewhat unusual. We are all looking for our perfect partner in life and when the right person comes, you feel something extraordinary. Love exists unexpectedly even if you try so hard searching for the perfect one.

I am a God and I deserve to have my Goddess!

A Special Tribute to the Birthday Boy...JOSE RIZAL!

José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda (Born June 19, 1861) - He's been our hero for quite sometime now but as I have noticed his ideologies of real sovereignty completely diminishing and put into grave. Cellular phone nowadays is fast becoming the obsession and practical way to bridge seas and mountains in reaching our loved ones.

Of all the collections I had since childhood – legos, caps, marbles – never in my dreams I intended to have collected or I may say experienced latest techy in town. But unluckily I think it’s the test of time that hinders me to collect those gadgets or maybe due to my uncertain demand especially when something new in the market been introduced.

From previous to present phones I utilized;
Alcatel OT Club DB – My first ever handy phone given to me by my brother, Macoy. I was so annoyed at first using this phone not only because of its dull physical attributes (I actually call this phone “Safeguard” phone simply because it looks like the Safeguard soap) but also of its ALL CAPS numeric display with orange backlight and non-stop keypad tone. Luckily, it only lasted one year because out of curiosity I disassembled the phone and pricked its battery until it died.

Nokia 5110 – After truncating my Alcatel phone, my brother gave me this Nokia phone where at that time very popular among teens. I was so surprised then because it was a gift for making it to the top of the class during high school graduation and passing the scholarship of a prestigious state university. In the university, I remember, we had this game called “cellphone touching” (originated from the local game “touching”) with my fellow 5110 and 3210 users wherein instead of using tin cap we used our own cellphone. After a year handling this bulky and walkie-talkie-like phone, I lost it while we were at the heights of suppression.

Nokia 2100 – Because of my strong idealism that brought me out of school, my brother resisted to buy me another phone. After a year of punishment without my craved techy and after residing in another home school, finally and for the first time, I bought myself this phone by saving money from my monthly allowance.

Sony Ericsson T68i (w/ detachable camera) – In school, when new trend usually pops-up, I insist to have one. This is actually the first camera phone in the market along with the rise of Nokia 7650. Holla! It’s marvelous at first but after 5 months I swapped it with Nokia 3650.

Nokia 3650 – I enjoyed this phone until I graduated college. Nothing more to describe aside from its bulkiness!

Sony Ericsson K508i – This phone started all the firsts – bought from my first salary in my first job experience, my first ever phone with good video and picture resolution, and started all the entire jinx in me (lol). When I had my first ever try of tutoring Koreans and while strolling along with them at the mall, I experienced being victimized by pick-pocketers for the very first time.

Nokia 1100 – After recovering from that incident, I bought another phone but this time and for some reason I decided to downgrade my taste. Good enough changing my phone model, but not really a good experience at all since I was quite traumatized, while I and Kristine (my officemate) decided to put our braces on by consulting first our dentist, the clinic was robbed along with our personal belongings.

Sony Ericsson K700i – After traumatic experience, once again I bought this phone for only P4,000. A second hand camera phone at a cheaper price! March 30, 2007, the exact date where we had our picnic at Club Manila East in Rizal, I got sick (chicken pox) and during that night at home, my phone was stolen by one of our boarders.

O2 XDA II mini – My first ever PDA phone. Unluckily while we were boating at La Mesa Eco Park, this phone fell down in the water. Good thing I was quick to save it. It worked after I dried it. Still I decided to sell this phone before the signs of dying occur..:)

Nokia 6300 - I hope this phone would be the last one standing..lol

How did I get to know more of this Blog?

I really don’t know how it became the talk of the town among my fellow mates – how it started and how it captured the interests of the general populace – but as I browsed pages over the net, unintentionally I was hooked and crooked.

Look who’s talking now?
Guessed I won’t be stuck on it since I deemed not possible in my personality.
