I always brag places I've seen and traveled so far but there's one thing I should have done first before promoting others, that is, to introduce and promote to everyone the place where I spent most of my childhood years. Our town, IROSIN, is such a beautiful place to go nature trek. Surrounded by mountains and greens, rivers and wild, people and smiles. A beauty you'll surely miss while living in the Metro.
Before Marikina was quoted with the best clean and green initiatives, it was Irosin who bagged the title for many years. If I remember it right, the implementation of "Tapat Mo, Linis Mo" program was a success. This is where community actions to increase the level of awareness among residents and the practice of volunteerism and bayanihan are being done. We had to plant trees at the whole stretch of the sidewalk, make a product out of recyclable materials e.g. floorwax-making, handicrafts, etc., and practice natural/organic farming.
Well, it's not that boring after all. It's fun doing that with your friends and neighbors.
The places I wanted to revisit once I got the chance are the following tourist spots:
a. San Mateo Hot and Cold Spring - a refreshing way to soothe the aching body and stressful activities during the day.
b. Irosin Evangelical Church - a church that is built on the hilltop with stairway consisted of at least 80 steps where you can actually see the whole town and even the captivating view of Mt. Bulusan.
